John Boy

John "Boy"...I was born 3 months premature. Without a name, everything said BOY. With a rare lung disease, my mom was told to name me...for the funeral. Well... I survived! and the "Boy" just stuck. I am currently living in NYC. My music is dark, dirty, and real. It is pop/rock but it is sexual and honest. It's like a fantasy with no one watching. I am totally Influenced by Prince, Madonna, Incubus, Robbie Williams, Lisa Loeb, Beth Hart, Leah Andreone, Pink, Britney, Heart, Marilyn Manson, Alanis...just to mention a few. I finished my first EP, "Space Junkie" and started touring around the NYC area. Playing clubs such as: Limelight, Cheetah, Exit, Ohm, Hush, and the Triad. I am not a band...so I wanted to use who I am in my show. I got the best dancers in NYC and choreographed a stage show that has been compared to Britney and Madonna. After 9/11, I took some time off...started working on the new album. The songs were coming out darker, rockier, deeper. "Choked Not Broken" is the new album. It is a sexual, dark, dirty, in your face album- mixing pop/rock/dance/goth/alternative with personality perfectly.
