Bio

“Basically, his lyrics are sensitive, his tunes are catchy, and he’s not ashamed to be shooting for a mainstream audience.”
-THE BOSTON GLOBE

Having released two studio albums and toured venues across the country while he was still in college, 23-year-old singer-songwriter John Brazile was in a period of development for the past few years. Now, with a new EP, the New York-based artist is poised to take his music to new audiences.

Brazile has been hard at work writing songs and touring in support of his lo-fi 2007 release, Sessions. “We released Sessions to show how a real band sounds in rehearsal, without the shine and polish that post-production adds,” he says. Listeners might associate Brazile’s sound with artists like Jakob Dylan, John Mayer, Ryan Adams and The Counting Crowes.

“Most of all, I want a voice and an identity to emerge in all the songs on the record,” says Brazile.

College audiences were introduced to Brazile via his previous album, Next Best Thing as the title track landed on play lists at a handful of college radio stations in the Northeast including WMSV, WRCM and WCUW. Corresponding appearances at colleges and clubs from Boston to Los Angeles have shown him to be both passionate and energetic as a performer.

In addition to new recordings, Brazile continues to tour in new areas around the country and to participate in other music projects. Full tour schedule, sound samples, and news updates can be found at www.John.Brazile.com.
