Bio
When I'm not gigging with a veritable who's-who list of A-list Baltimore bands, I am the emergency drummer of choice when a fill-in situation arises. When I lived in L.A. I did a good bit of session work for numerous TV spots and bands' CDs. Since relocating to MD, I've been fortunate to continue making my living playing session and live dates. My two primary bands have been together 10+ years and consistently play venues in excess of 1000 seats. Both of these acts have been critic and fan favs for years.
Stepping into the Wayback Machine a bit, I was in a three-time World Championship Drum and Majorette Corp and was the 1st Chair Snare Soloist at age 16. It was at this time that I received the 3D Award (Desire, Dedication & Determination) from the Drum Corps.
I also enjoyed my time in All-County band & orchestra which I participated in all through high school. The training and experience I received playing numerous orchestral percussion instruments is something which has served me well to this day. I also played brass instruments in the concert band and studied music theory while playing in the jazz band.
Fast forward to present day and I find all of these skills are being utilized as I write and record my own music. I have since added guitar, bass and piano to my skills and this has enabled me to more successfully communicate musical ideas with other musicians.
I'm currently playing with the following bands/artists:
- Never Never: Baltimore's longest running classic rock band; strong emphasis on Led Zeppelin's repertoire. I'm featured playing the Moby Dick drum solo at every show.
- Everybody Wants Some: Van Halen tribute doing the David Lee Roth era. We recently won an online competition and were awarded a slot on a tribute band tour.
- three wildly diverse trios playing rock, pop, funk, R&B and jazz
- numerous fill-ins
