Bio
John Devine hails from Kitchener, Ontario. He is a teacher in an elementary school in the Waterloo Region who plays the clarinet and guitar. Married with two sons, John has a passion for music and sports. Whenever he and his wife travel to Toronto and see the Lakeshore and the Dome and Tower, his song is popped into the car CD player and they sing “Toronto, I’m On My Way!” as they cruise along the Gardiner Expressway. Jazz venues in Toronto also draw John and his friends to the big TO. Constantly he is reminded about the hospitality shown at every turn in such a beautiful multicultural world class city. The night life in the city is an “oh, so right life…” and he calls everyone to visit this clean, eclectic city and feel at home with so many things to do.
Whenever He and his wife visit other lovely spots in Canada, it always feels good to be on their way back home as the plane heads for the Toronto airport. “It is a city that calls people in their heart”, says Devine. “When you head to Toronto you feel like saying out loud, ‘Toronto, I’m On My Way!’”
