EP -"Smells Like Britney - Be Like Hugh" (radio play, club play, streaming)

John’s new EP “Smells Like Britney – Be Like Hugh” was recorded with drummer Steven Sweet (Warrant). Adding an edginess to the record, Toby Wright (Korn, Metallica, Wallflowers) mixed the CD. And it features a Klub mix and a Radio mix of “Smells Like Britney” done by DJScottyK.

At its best, music is an interaction between the artist and his audience. John Farias, on his latest CD “Smells Like Britney – Be Like Hugh”, makes that interaction fun and inspirational. The new release includes upbeat, thought provoking, sarcastic humor and clever lyrics. Inspired by artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Santana, John has captivated his supporters with a unique blend of old-school rock infused with blues.

Based out of California (Sacramento and Los Angeles), John Farias and his band is a Rock & Roll Band whose fresh sound is both upbeat and fun. Powerful vocals, driving guitars, and clever topics are signature to John Farias. The band is John Farias (vocals & guitar), Greg Slusser (bass), Scott McGinnis (drums). Known for their high energy performances, the band has been steadily building a following throughout California and Baja, Mexico.

John began his musical career when he was just five years old. He started playing the piano and was quickly performing in front of audiences. As a teenager, John graduated to guitar and began writing, recording, and producing his own work. John studied many different styles on guitar but seemed to have a passion for rock-n-roll. Born of Portuguese descent and influenced by legendary performers such as Kiss, U2, Jimi Hendrix, and Santana, John wanted to take his various influences and turn them into one unique sound.
