BandAlternativeAcoustic

Original songwriter from New Jersey. Kind of quirky and clever. I perform on piano and guitar, and sing. My album is very ambitious in terms of arrangments and instrumentation. The music could be compared to Paul Simon, Beck, Beach Boys. Lyrics to Randy Newman, They Might Be Giants.

Biography

After playing piano/keyboards/guitar/etc. in the Morbid Chicken Puppies (later The Flood) for almost 12 years, I made an album on my own and am playing all around the tri-state area. I'm an original, clever songwriter from New Jersey. I perform on piano and guitar, and sing. As stated to the left, my album is very ambitious in terms of arrangments and instrumentation. I like to play with words. The music could be compared to Paul Simon, Beck, Beach Boys. Lyrics to Randy Newman, They Might Be Giants. Some other influences: Dr. John, Willie Nelson, and Talking Heads. What sets me apart from other performers is that I don't strive to sound like someone else. On stage, I believe I come across as a genuine everyday person who convays stories through well thought out music. I'll never open a show saying "How is everybody doing tonight!?!?" I stay away from generic song titles, lyrics, etc. I will never use the word "soul" in my lyrics - because it is so overused that whenever I hear it , it means nothing. It's not deep. I'm serious about being a complete musician, but on stage, like to have a little fun.
