Biography

The band was formed in 2006 in Waukesha Wis. and has already won many area competitions. Quattro Driver of Emergenza Music Festival calls it "one of the most polished and best bands in Milwaukee for sure."

Powered by an impressive rhythm section, the band delivers an extraordinary set of songs with raw energy and an emotional exchange between the band and audience. The audience is drawn by the passionate energy the band delivers. The acoustic driven rock is from the soul and it draws you in.

During the short time they've been together, The John Frederick Band has won over their home city of Milwaukee. Sophie Creole (Emergenza) writes: ”John Frederick stole the hearts of the audience with excellent vocals and professional attitude.”

Then during a 6 month competition, the group took first place in every single audience vote defeating 90 competing bands.

The John Frederick Band put Milwaukee on the map by making the world ranking. Taylor, of Emergenza said "this is the first time a band from the US has made it into the world ranking in the company's 10 year history of world-wide music competition".

The John Frederick Band sold hundreds of CDs during this period and generated a whole new fan base. WAMI judges called them: “A Great Band!" "Loved it!" “All the instruments had breathing room".

The band played Summerfest, in Milwaukee Wisconsin, one of the nations largest and most celebrated music festivals in 2008 and will be playing Summerfest again in 2009.

They have also recently played at Harley's 105th celebration at both Milwaukee Harley in Milwaukee and at Wisconsin Harley in Oconomowoc. The band recently won Milwaukee radio station THE BREW 97.3's battle of the bands held at the Milwaukee Harley Davidson.

John Frederick describes the band as having a more spiritual aspect to its music that encourages listeners, by leading them to a better place, he says: ”I enjoy writing music that means something, I draw on my own feelings and experiences and try to focus on things that matter."

Chainz

Chainz

And this life is shaking I feel it fade away
and my time is taken and I’m dragged into the grave
I’ve been dancing with the enemy
so sick and tired of everything
And I can’t believe the apathy
It’s making me, it’s changing me

So I live, no I die for what?
So I look to the sky for son
And I’ve wasted time no more wasting life this way
So I cried out Lord please give me strength
(Pre Chorus)
I’ve been dancing with the enemy
so sick and tired of everything
And I can’t believe the apathy
It’s making me it’s breaking me (Breaking Me)

(Chorus)
So I live, no I die for what?
So I look to the sky for son
Now am I free
Has he broken these chainz
I want to live my life unashamed
And this life is shaking I feel it fade away
and my time is taken, wash it and flush it away
(Pre Chorus)
I’ve been dancing with the enemy
so sick and tired of everything
And I can’t believe the apathy
It’s making me it’s breaking me !! (Breaking Me)

(Chorus)
So I live, no I die for what?
So I look to the sky for the Son
Now am I free
Has he broken these chainz
Though I want to live my life unashmed
Now am I free
Has he broken these chainz
Though I want to live my life unashamed

Waiting

Waiting

Release this pain
Reveal thy strength
And I remember why you came
Do they remember why we wait

(Chorus)
We keep on waiting for you
We keep on waiting for you
What I’ve learned in my life be strong carry on
We will one day see your face
Until then wait

Release this pain
Renew my strength
And I remember why you came
Do they remember why we wait

(Chorus)
We keep on waiting for you
We keep on waiting for you
What I’ve heard in my life be strong carry on
We will one day see your face
Until then wait

For you alone are worthy of the life inside my heart
And I'll watch them fall down
Are you going to be the last one ready on that day
And I beg you friend to wait

(Chorus)
We keep on waiting for you
We keep on waiting for you
What I’ve heard in my life be strong carry on
We will one day see your face
Until then wait

(Chorus)
We keep on waiting for you
We keep on waiting for you
What I’ve heard in my life be strong carry on
We will one day see your face
Until then wait

Cry Out

Cryout

I’ve been living the life I’m made for won't you go inside my head and make everything so clear
I’ve been going down that narrow road so perfectly you made for me
I can’t seem to find my way

So I cryout for heaven save me from all my shame
Oh I cryout heaven save me from all my pain

And it’s time to live the life
It’s time to touch the ocean
It’s time to realize what it is your living for
It’s time to live the life worthy of your dying soul
It’s time to touch the skies
Remember what you came here for

Still you changed my life
You’v made it ever new
You always do
Still I hear your voice
Calling out to me
Yeahh
So I cryout oh I cryout to you
To save me from all of my pain

Oh I cryout heaven save me from all of my pain

And it’s time to live the life
It’s time to touch the ocean
It’s time to realize what it is your living for
It’s time to live the life worthy of your dying for
It’s time to touch the skies
Remember what you came here for

Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah

(Chorus)
And it’s time to live the life
It’s time to touch the ocean
It’s time to realize what it is your living for
It’s time to live a life worthy of your dying soul
It’s time to touch the skies
Remember what you came here for

It’s time to live the life

And it’s time to live the life again, again
Oh I remember what you came here for

And it’s time to live the life again again
Oh I remember what you came here for

Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
