Bio
The foundation of the J. Lewis musical experience starts with guitarist and vocalist John G. Lewis. John has developed a unique and innovative sound and style of guitar playing which integrates guitar and synthesizer; allowing him to create unbelievably rich musical orchestrations. Combining his silky smooth voice and his linguistic prowess, he has assembled an intriguing repertoire of Jazz, R&B, and Brazilian grooves, which he performs in English, French, and Portuguese.
As a soloist John produces an unparalleled sound. When he teams up with some of DC’s finest musicians in a duo format, the sound is elegant and smooth. And when performing with the Electrokoustic trio, featuring Arch Thompson on flute and Devin Walker on drums and percussions, the sound explodes into aural delight.
For as much as John is passionate about the performance, he is a fanatic about the fidelity of the sound and acoustic impact of the music. The combination of musical talent, obsessive attention to professionalism, and state of the art aural sensibilities, makes the J. Lewis sound a very groovy sonic experience.
