Bio
The deep, soulful musings of rocker John Gray will move and
inspire you, but his long journey from small-town life in McGill,
Nevada to an enriching, solo career in Nashville, Tennessee may have
been cut short if not for the support of so many people along the way,
and his undeniable need to express himself through music.
From very early on, John connected intimately with music and was
inspired by countless artists — everyone from Aerosmith to Rascal
Flatts — but he always knew that his destiny to write and sing his own
songs would take him away from his home, away from his loving family
and friends, and toward a life he could then only imagine.
At the age of 24, John started a band that soon released two CDs.
They toured the West Coast and built a strong following, opening for
such bands as Hoobastank, Saving Abel, Anberlin, Cartel, Royal Bliss,
The Leo Project, and many others.
When touring and writing slowed, John was eager to revitalize the
band — to pursue new inspirations and experiences. The other members
showed no interest in leaving the coast, and John knew it was time to
set out on his own. In September of 2009, he packed up his car and
headed for Nashville.
John may have left many people behind to follow his dreams, but he
carries them and their encouragement in his heart. He’s loving the
adventure and is excited about what the future holds. It’s his
deepest wish that through his music he will bring hope and inspiration
to others, to share his journey and his passion through lyric and
melody.
