Bio
Singer/songwriter John Hatfield, a self-taught guitarist from Eastern Kentucky, has recently released his debut independent CD “Ache Like Saint Paul.” This CD, which has been eagerly anticipated by many of his fans throughout Kentucky and beyond, is a work done entirely by John himself. On the disc, all songs are written, recorded, and produced by John(with the exception of one track, "who I am"). He also played every instrument and sang all harmonies.
Many may remember John from the acoustic band “Due Season,” which he was a member of while a student at the University of Kentucky. Now graduated, John has moved on to a more defined and diverse modern-folk-rock sound that challenges the mind, body, and soul. His new cd is a rhythmic, acoustical whirlwind that confronts the struggle of life, love, and faith.
Because his music relates to college students, John plans to be touring college campuses and college venues throughout the southeastern United States in the Spring Semester of 2002.
