From Clapton and the Beatles to Primus and Beck and back to Muddy, Buddy and Howlin' Wolf. These are seasoned players who've honed their skills on stages along the West Coast. Sharing a firm belief that talent and showmanship will bring the house down and the fans coming back every time.

Having released over a dozen albums, Guitarist John January is a veteran of the West Coast Rock Scene. The John January Band have explored the funkier regions of Jam-Ology throughout the Northwest. A Billboard award-winning songwriter and also a teacher in San Diego, the Oregonian newspaper referred to his guitar style as raw bursts of guitar arresting. John has also had great reviews in The San Diego Reader, Option and Sound Choice magazines.
JJ & The Mags blend John's love for Blues based Rock with Progressive and Alternative styles.

Scott Evans, a San Diego mainstay played bass with the original Dark Globe and more recently regional favorites Frank The Baptist. Also a music teacher in San Diego, Scotts playing is full of groove and richly melodic.

Brandon Shock is a renaissance man of music, playing guitar and keyboards, and lending his great vocal range to John January & The Mags. Brandons love of Progressive Rock brings a solid player's edge to the band.

Brad Smith is possibly San Diego's most in-demand drummer. Having played regularly with bands such as the Tighten ups, and Blasphemous Guitars. Polyrhythmic, inventive, yet "in the pocket", drumming in the great Rock and Blues tradition.
