Bio

Acoustic Guitar. Electric Guitar. Bass Guitar. Drums. Bongos. Tambourine. Vocals. Triangle. A Cappella. Yea, that pretty much sums up the talent of Singer/Songwriter John Michael. Hell with these abilities you'd think he was a superhero, however, that's not the case. Rather, John uses his ability to captivate all the audiences for which he performs.

John taught himself how to play guitar at age 9 and hasn't looked back since. He played in a few "heavier" bands during high school and rocked all across Massachusetts, playing locations like the middle east, Worcester Palladium and The Artspace in good old Gloucestaaah.

When John entered college, his music career blossomed. After breaking up with the band he had in high school, John quickly developed his own solo act and took Providence College by storm. Freshman year he played Providence College Basketball Pep Rallies, and open mics on campus and various clubs located throughout the city of Providence. After gaining much recognition from his peers it was time to record an album. Seeing as John was a broke college student he salvaged what $$ remained from freshman year and immediately made his own studio in the beginning of summer '02. That summer John recorded his first 5 EP "Samples From A Life," with the help of longtime friend/producer Dave Barry, which was an instant hit with many Providence College and Northeastern students. The track "Closed Year" saw airplay on Providence College Radio WDOM 91.3 FM. This cd was also supported by many shows across Providence College and the cities of Boston and Providence.

In the summer of 2004, after a brief break from playing live music, John had written nearly 50 songs, which had to be recorded. John once again was in the studio recording his second album consisting of 12 tracks which was titled "12 in 4" Once again John's music was a hit with Providence College students and beyond. The track Let's Check It Out" had frecuent airplay on WDOM 91.3 FM and John played many shows around campus and the cities of Boston and Providence.

Alas!!! May 2005!!! John graduated from Providence College with a BS in History. How fun, Right? We'll see...but in the meantime John has been working hard on his third album, which will be tentatively titled "The Best Kept Secret" This new CD will be one of the most dynamic and thought provoking albums John has ever made that he hopes will make it into a Store, CD, Car Radio, 8-Track, Computer, Walkman (so big and stylish) or mp3 player near you! Look for John playing all across Massachusetts, RI, and yes, Florida come September.
