New to the Austin area, John Michael Rose is a breath of fresh air in the local Austin music scene. Already featured on the Fox7 Morning News Show, John Michael has quickly staked his claim in Austin, playing shows at clubs like the Saxon Pub, Lorraine’s, Giddy Up’s, Johnny Fins and the Iguana Grill.

Originally from Atlanta, John Michael Rose has played all over the South-East at such venues as, Smith’s Olde Bar, Eddies Attic, and the Masquerade with his local band and others including Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, The Allman Brothers, Susan Tedeschi, Big Bill Morganfield, Bob Margolin, Chris Duarte and Big Eyes Willie Smith. Last March, John Michael Rose released his dynamic debut album, "Still On My Mind", a mix of Blues, Americana and Rock that has been well-received, selling both online and in unit sales. Visiting on tour frequently, John Michael Rose still packs shows along the East Coast along with shows here at home in Austin, Texas.

Currently, John Michael Rose has put together a star-studded band that features Jackie Newhouse on Bass (of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble), Randy Williams on Keys (of Clay Walker) and Nick Kantar on drums (of Jackie Greene).
