New York, NY (AHN) - Central Park will become Comedy Park with a lineup of stand-up comedians performing free at the SummerStage in New York's famous park on June 22.
PRNewswire quotes Mitch Fried, senior vice president, of Comedy Central's promotion marketing, as saying, "Comedy Central and Dave Attell are excited to offer the people of New York an evening of free comedy in NYC's legendary outdoor venue."
Upcoming comedians Ted Alexandro, Conan O'Brien, John Mulaney, Joe DeRosa, Kurt Metzger and Amy Schumer are a few of the performers listed by the press release.
Hosting the event will be Dave Attell, named one of the "25 Funniest People in America" by Entertainment Weekly. Attell's webpage attributes his popular hit series "Insomniac With Dave Attell," on Comedy Central from his, "love of booze and laughter."
Comedy Central will post the event on their site July 6.

John Mulaney is a comedian who appears every week on VH1's BEST WEEK EVER and has performed on LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN, JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE and Comedy Central's LIVE AT GOTHAM. In 2006 he co-created I LOVE THE 30s and All-Access Middle Ages for Comedy Central's MOTHERLOAD channel. Mulaney has spent the last year touring with Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn and more on the 2007 COMEDIAN'S OF COMEDY tour as well as with Mike Birbiglia on his SECRET PUBLIC JOURNAL LIVE TOUR. Now living in New York City, Mulaney appears in clubs, theaters and colleges around the country. He is nice, kind of tall, whatever.
