Johnny Cajun has been spreading its hot blend of Cajun, Zydeco and Funk music ever since its inception in 2002. Having played together in different groups over the years, songwriters Dan Perreaux (bass) and Daniel Roy (mandolin) called upon some of Winnipeg’s finest to help them create a sound that fuses the soul of New Orleans with an energy that can only be found North of the border. With Marc Arnould (keyboards), Gaétan LaRochelle (drums), Joey Landreth (guitar) and Gilles Fournier (washboard) on board, the sky is the limit.
Johnny Cajun comes with a guarantee of great tunes with kickin’ rhythms and sweltering solos, fried up with some spicy surprises that will make you move to the bayou groove!

Johnny Cajun donne un nouveau souffle aux sons de la musique Cajun, Zydeco et Funk depuis ses débuts en 2002. Ayant joué ensemble dans plusieurs groupes, les auteurs-compositeurs- interprètes Dan Perreaux (basse) et Daniel Roy (mandoline) sont allés chercher les meilleurs musiciens de Winnipeg afin de créer une fusion des saveurs de la Louisiane avec une énergie qu’on retrouve seulement dans le nord. Avec Marc Arnould (claviers), Gaétan LaRochelle (batterie), Joey Landreth (guitare) et Gilles Fournier (frottoir) dans l’équipe, tout est possible.
La musique de Johnny Cajun est caractérisée par un rythme redoutable, des solos endiablés, des mélodies et une énergie entraînantes. Leur spectacle vous garantit des surprises épicées qui vous feront danser jusqu’aux p’tites heures du matin!
