If you like Casting Crowns, then you'd like Johnny Juarez, a singer-songwriter with a strong voice known worldwide for his ministry-oriented concerts combining interactive fun and spiritual themes.
Already well known by Spanish-language audiences for his numerous past CDs, Johnny Juarez is eager to take on a new challenge: crossing over to the English- language market. If you met him in person and spoke with him, you wouldn't know he spoke Spanish because his English is flawless, and when he sings in English, his vocals will remind you of David Phelps, one of Christian music's strongest vocalists ever.
The winner of a 2006 MAJA Award (honoring Gospel artists in Canada) for his strong pop-rock vocal abilities, Johnny Juarez is currently on tour in support of "Here I Go," his latest CD. The album of ten pop-rock songs is set to take Johnny Juarez's passionate singing style to whole new audiences. Produced with the help of Sean Spicer and Henry Gonzalez, "Here I Go" is gaining airplay on radio stations in Canada and the United States with the powerful title track, as well as stand-out tracks like "You Are There" and "Let Me Tell You."
Seeing himself as an adult contemporary artist, Johnny Juarez hopes his latest project will appeal to fans of popular artists like Casting Crowns, Salvador, and Big Daddy Weave.
