Johnny Lindula

I started playing guitar when I was 16, and started singing along before I could play my 2nd chord. Bob Dylan was my first love, being from the same part of the country. I grew up in Northern Minnesota, but have since made my way to Northern Alaska. Dylan led me back to Woody Guthrie, and from there I got into traditional American music. That led me back to some even older traditional English, Irish, and Scottish songs. Somewhere along the way I discovered Bluegrass and started playing the mandolin. In the last year I've started writing some songs and playing a bunch. I draw from all these influences and just love to play. I'm never as happy as when I've got a guitar or mandolin in my hand and am playing bluegrass, folk, or traditional music.
