Bio

Forming in the suburbs of Chicago in 2001, melodic punk rockers, Johnny Rev, have proven to be the Windy City's best kept secret. In a scene catering to light emo-core and jovial pop-rock, the four twenty-somethings have refused to turn their backs on the Epi-Fat style that has helped develop their unique blend of 90's skate punk and melodic hardcore. With influences ranging from Bad Religion and NOFX to AFI and Alkaline Trio, Johnny Rev strives to create songs that are both hard and fast without losing the melody along the way.

The band appears to be on their way to bigger things with three professionally produced studio efforts as well as a trio of music videos with more production value than most clips shown on Fuse. Their video for Instead of Me (from 2005's Hate Me Till Morning) even earned them a spot on Havoc TV's On Demand video channel. In addition, Alternative Press Magazine also honored "The Rev" with a much sought after spot in their "AP&R Unsigned Bands of the Month" section as well as a semi-finalist position in their "Almost Famous" competition. August of 2009 marked the release of the Kill The Lights EP produced by Dan Precision (Much The Same, Shot Baker, Flatfoot 56), which also introduced a music video of the same name. As a way to preface their upcoming full-length, the three-song EP was released as a download card and exclusively through iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, and other online music
retailers.

So here we are in 2010, the beginning of a new decade, and Johnny Rev shows no signs of slowing down. With the addition of rhythm guitarist, Karen Bean, the band will spend much of this year prepping their sophomore effort, In The Company Of Wolves, for a late summer release.
