John P. Hopkins has been making audiences laugh at corporate events, major universities and resorts throughout the country. In a word, Great for College & Universities, High Schools, Corporate, Trade Shows & Private Events.

His performance includes lots of audience participation, and thrilling "dangerous" effects, like snapping a straw from a volunteer's mouth with a bullwhip, sticking a knife in his arm, even turning his head completely around!

His full-day residency includes teasers, a workshop on card sharks and con-artist, and 60 minute main show! His teasers are like getting a second show for free!

John P. Hopkins was born of a mixed marriage [ male and female ] in a little log cabin that he helped his parents build . Early on he discovered a talent for sleight-of-hand with a comedic twist and has been making his living with it ever since.

"It has really been a wonderful ride. I have been lucky enough to have traveled all over the world preforming in all types of situations and for crowds as small as two to as large as several thousand. I have preformed in stately theaters,ships,T.V. studios, radio studios , outdoor amphitheaters,,and even funeral homes (yes, you read that correctly,in his long and varied career John has twice been asked to preform at a funeral home...where I might add he knocked em dead!)”.

In the early nineties John was called upon by the Kramer Entertainment agency to preform at a university - this proved so successful that it has become a full time career. In the early eighties while living in Dallas Texas John had the unique opportunity of befriending an x-pickpocket.

"Jimmy was a very interesting individual. In the depression he had made his living as a pick-
pocket and a card cheat. Jimmy had seen me perform and came backstage to meet me. That started a friendship that lasted until Jimmy's death. I would teach him magic tricks and he would teach me various card cheating scams and how to pick pockets, it was all great fun".

A number of police departments have called upon John to demonstrate these rather unique talents. John's comedic talent often leads him to be billed as a comedian with magic and ventriloquism taking a backseat.

"The ability to make someone laugh while fooling them is a real joy!"

In the early days it was books that opened the door to the secrets of magic.

"I was a very poor reader, but, I had to read to learn learn about magic,and that in turn got me through school and taught me to love reading. All in all it has been a wonderful time...I have traveled all over the world and all across the U.S. making people laugh and go oooohhhh....aaaaahhhh, what glorious fun!!".
