Discography

I have a song on iTunes and cdfreedom.com called "How Far Would I Go?". I have had radio play of many songs through the years , but mainly when stations had local artist spots.

Bio

Where to start? I have been singing all my life. There is nothing more rewarding to me then to sing in front of an audience be it 100 or 100,000. I fell in love with blues/folk-rock/and soul in college. I began listening to Eric Clapton, Keb Mo, B.B. King, John Mayer, Johnny Lang, and many others that inspired me to think outside the box. granted many of my songs are mainstream too, but I think what differentiates me from some other people is versatility. I have some songs that sound different like new age blues or something but I don't try to put it back in the box to fit a description. I believe that is what separates the path makers from the path followers. I listen to artists from John Prine to Tracey Chapmen to Pavarotti. I love power in music whether it is the power of the lyric or it is simply the power of the instrument. I want to be moved and I know audiences want to be moved too. I have about 200 songs that I have written but I have hundreds more that didn't make the cut or were songs written at an early age that I thought were good but needed better roots. I always want to challenge myself to be better. I want to be a better singer, a better writer, a better player. I think you can always learn if you can humble yourself.
I went to school for Vocal Performance at Appalachian State University and I won many awards and scholarships in voice. I also played my songs at any bar or club that would have me. I then moved to New York City for several years and went to school for film and television at the NYU School for Film and TV.
I played the NYU scene which included CBGB's, The Elbow Room, The Bitter End and many other little venues there in the downtown/village area. I was on Saturday Night at the Apollo, and I played many other venues as well.
I then moved to Nashville TN and started working on crafting songs. I got to play at the Blue Bird Cafe, and the Gibson Bluegrass Showcase Room, and other well know venues in the Nashville area.
I now reside in the beautiful mountains of TN and thanks to the internet can live in a peaceful area like this and travel around all over the country and perform. My band is a group of good ole boys who have hearts as big as you can find and talents that bring crowds to their feet. Colonel Ben Bradford is my fearless manager and keyboard player and he keeps everything in line for me. I have a great group that I can also say are friends, which is hard in this business sometimes. Basically....in a nut shell.....I love to play music. I eat, drink, sleep, and breathe it everyday. it is what I live for.
