Bio

As you no doubt have seen, my name is John Walton. I am a 30 year old man who was born in Kentucky, raised in Philadelphia, and currently reside in Scranton, PA. My father always told me to follow my dreams. I told him my dream was to become a professional wrestler. He laughed for three straight days. That's when i decided to become a comedian.

I have won a couple comedy contests, most recently The 2012 Wisecrackers Comedy Competition at Wisecrackers Comedy Club and I was the winner of the 2010 Nepa Comedy Showcase Competition. I got my start performing at Keystone College where I was a student for three years. I performed at open mics and guest spots for several years where I honed my skills to the point where I have now worked as an emcee, feature, and headliner for numerous venues including clubs, colleges, bars, restaurants, and even a casino. My material ranges from a wide variety of subjects including:
-my love for ugly women
-my hatred for bears
-my campaign to have a parade for fat people

Audiences, regardless of age, race, or gender have continuously enjoyed the onstage exploits of John Walton. My jokes and material have always left a lasting impact to where audiences have often, unsuccessfully, recited my material to their friends and have begged me to perform the same jokes whenever they see me. There's no subject that I can't handle. I can be squeaky clean or delightfully dirty depending on the environment. More often than not, I have been regarded as the funniest comedian on any given night. I am a true professional and I have the utmost respect for the business.

“John Walton relays the African American experience through truth and humor a la Richard Pryor or Chris Rock” Josh McAuliffe The Times –Tribune July 22nd 2007

“John gonna be very good. I love his delivery and the depth of his material.” Jermaine Carter; promoter and founder of Maine Entertainment

“…very good and not at all shy about being funny. Would love to see how far he goes.” Steve Hayden, fan from United Kingdom through the website You Tube
