Joka's Early Years

Joka spent his early years growing up in the violent streets of Brooklyn New York. Joka’s parents were not really together mother being a single parent was really hard on us. I’ll admit I used to get into a lot of fights but by the time he started junior high school he was into Basketball instead. Joka's passion for basketball helped keep me out of trouble.
In 2002 Joka left his gritty East New York neighborhood and settled in a more dangerous area of Cypress Hills. Joka continued to work on his basketball skills and joined a rap group called the Real Muzik Luvers with family members Omari “Flow Fury” Haughton and Cory “King” Jefferson. Years later Joka and crew released a single called Who Are U, which downloads reached 5,000 copies. Joka continued with R.M.L while playing shooting guard in the Junior Knicks Basketball Leauge. At the time, it looked as though Joka would pursuit a basketball career.

Joka's Big Break

Real Muzik Luvers managed to put out another song called Rock Tonite, which became a local hit. The song helped their reputation locally but didn't grab the interest of record companies. The frustrated R.M.L decided to try their luck in different parts of New York City and teamed up with The CityKids Foundation who jump started careers Malik Yoba like at that time. Eventually we realized Joka would have a better chance of scoring a record deal on his own. So Joka, who is 18 year-old dons not really has the knowledge on the music business, but that didn’t stop me from doing what I loved doing and that was being an artist.
By the time I was 19 years-old I took a break from rapping and got focused on my production. Still working with the family group that i started with called R.M.L and that lead me to work with more amazing artist such as, The CityKids Foundation, Knock Out, G.M.E, E-N-T, Mc Fly, and Shona. All these are underground upcoming artist on the grind. The summer of 2009 I was offered a chance to Co- Produce the music for the MTV hit show I Want to Be Made. In 2010 Trevon “JOKA" Jefferson wanted to branch out more with his production business by starting is own underground production label which is called Futuristic Productions. Futuristic Productions allow young inspired Singers and Rappers to have a life style and success like a major recording artist, and also inspire the artist to be all they can be.
