Joke for a While has the simplified way of "Alkaline Trio"s self-expression, describing the conflicts of a man who has both the 6-year-old child and a 60-year-old adult soul, their common fears and obsessions. The wild sound of "Refused" and the emotional mood of "Hot Water Music" is blended together with Indie-Rock sound to form Joke For A While's unique tension.
The band itself has a short history as two of their members, Ersin and Engin played in Turkey's biggest hard-core act "Radical Noise", which performed in many concerts and festivals and released 3 albums. Anathema, Overkill, Kreator, Dio are some of the bands they played as support. Their "Opal Mantra (Therapy?)" cover has become the most rated cover chosen by Therapy? fans on the web.
