Jolly Molly

BandRockAcoustic

Jolly Molly's music has an acoustic sound gone electric pop. With the combination of their real life lyrics, varying song structures, and unique voices their music connects with people of many ages during their very first listen.

Biography

The sound of two acoustic guitars echoed up the backstage stairwell onto the stage full of dancers rehearsing. Dylan Wise and Greg Beck sat improving songs with subjects spanning from “Beck Castle” to ketchup, while Joe created rhythms by tapping the metal guard rail. For the past five years the Beck brothers have rarely spent a moment around one another without creating art. Dylan and Greg started Jolly Molly in 2002 to contrast the hard rock groups they had been in. Clad in suits and Beatles ties they played wherever they could. In 2003 they added Joe as their drummer when asked to play at an art gallery opening. Their music has matured just as the guys have over time. Jolly Molly continues to be received as a hometown band even when hundred miles away from Toledo, Ohio. Their music is professional, their chemistry is incomparable, and their personalities can win over an audience before they even play their first song.

Lyrics

Perfect Balance

Written By: Dylan Wise

Been doing good, been doing fine
Lost my love then I kind of lost my mind
But I’m ok, I have got a plan to change the world
I hadn’t planned to mistakes or have you throw it all away
But its alright, I have been thinking all along the hardest part wasn’t letting go
It was TRYing TO HOLD ON!
And now I have found the perfect balance between what is real and what I wish could be real

Ok alright we all wish we had different lives

Well winter came and I guess it did its part
To help us and to wash away our bitter hearts
Well broken faith and all the lies we breed
We can take them in like the air we breath
But its all fake I’m even doubting I am real
Is it love that I had or love I had to steal
And now I sing through these boring melodies
Trying to feel better about what I am feeling

Ok alright we all wish we had different lives

Now I know somewhere that you’re thinking of me
You gotta be
And so I scream into the telephone
You gotta be.

The Twenty-First

I've seen this before. Won’t you change your mind? You can lie by me.
Leave your head on the floor.
Oh o oh o oh o oh 2x
We're not the bad guys, we just saved the day, we're not afraid to
attempt. We just made the first.
Oh o oh o oh o oh 2x
I would like to hear you say, what I have said to help me sleep and
keep the only thing away from stopping us, and letting go. If you hide
your face I can’t begin to look outside this place, its up to you don't
let it go to waste. Let it go.
Oh o oh o oh o oh 2x
How was your day? Did you think of me? Please say it’s true. I know I
thought of you.
I would like to hear you say, what I have said to help me sleep and
keep the only thing away from stopping us, and letting go. If you hide
your face I can’t begin to look outside this place, its up to you don't
let it go to waste. Let it go. Let’s decide on what to say, and go
about another day. It’s killing me.
Oh o oh o oh o oh 2x
We're not the bad guys, we just saved the day, we're not afraid to
attempt. We just made the grave.

Old News

Written By: Greg Beck

See my eyes move. And you see my skin turn pale. So I lose my breathe
and I lose my ground. Can’t you read the signs?
With all I do for you, and all I have to prove the bitterness will
find a way to lead us through the door. Well it’s all right now, its
old news.
All right today.
See my eyes move. And you see my skin turn pale. So I lose my breathe
and I lose my ground. Can’t you read the signs?
With all I do for you, and all I have to prove the bitterness will
find a way to lead us through the door. Well it’s all right now, its
old news.
So what could you do to improve me? Cause I'm a little bit lonely. Oh
you do to improve me.
I know that you can see me, so what’s wrong? Your eyes are fine. 6x
It’s a life to take. It’s a cabaret and it’s all yours 2x
I'll sing. I'll sing.
All these promises, always, always be here and I would stay. Always.
Always be here.
So I do what I do until my mood improves. I'll be seeing you, I'll be
seeing you. I'll be seeing you.
