Jon
Miller Quartet

The
Jon
Miller Quartet

is a Canadian jazz group from Victoria BC that has been making waves
on the Vancouver Island jazz scene in 2015 both for its engaging live
performances and for the depth and variety of its original
compositions. The group's new CD “3 Days in Winter” (May 2015)
has been charting in the top 10 for campus radio jazz programming
across Canada (Earshot charts; currently number 2 on the CFUV jazz
chart) and has been played on CBC Vancouver's Jazz programme “Hot
Air.” The group's music draws on a
predominantly
acoustic vein of mainstream jazz while incorporating influences from
both within and outside the jazz realm including strains of fusion,
blues and improvised music.
