Bio
Jonah exploded on the South Jersey music scene as only a sophomore in high school with his funk/rock band, Earthtone. They played all over Burlington County in pubs and battles, and even got to tour state colleges Rowan, TCNJ, and Temple U in Philly. The band split in Fall 2005, and Jonah then tried producing with a local rapper DZ from the group Ground to tha Gutta, but it just wasn't his hitch. So he then continued writing songs, and playing around the local scene by himself. He developed his own fan base after producing and releasing his 8-song disc "Reminding You" in April of 2006.
He was first impacted by Eddie Vedder's songwriting in Pearl Jam, but now his influential music library ranges from artists like Bob Marley and Nick Drake to Cake, Pavement, and Citizen Cope.
Jonah now lives in Philly attending Drexel U. as a full time Music student. He plans to make the most of his resources there and to evolve even more as an artist.
"Music should never be something that just sits back; it's got to attack you in some way, and make you wish you had more control over it."
