"AA Wallace + MKW + Jonah Haché"

Named “DJ of the Year” at the 2012 Music Nova Scotia Awards and “Best Electronic Musician” in The Coast 2012 Best of Music Reader’s Poll, Wallace has been making a name for himself over the last two years with the release of several original singles and many remixes and edits. With his debut album (disambiguation) released In Canada by Acadian Embassy on May 6th, Wallace’s brand of psychedelic and krautrock infused electro has been called “a confident and solid début that is, frankly, a joy to listen to and is definitely worth your time.” (Electronic Rumors, UK) and “The most insidiously catchy bedroom-pop we’ve heard all year.” (Toronto Star) The album continues to gain attention, cementing his reputation as one of Canada’s most exciting and innovative up and coming electronic musicians. - Monctonvibes.com - Brock Gallant

"Album to be Released at The Laundromat"

Subtitle: Busy Metro Moncton Musician, artist to release Botsford on Tuesday

Arguably one of Metro Monctons busiest musicians and artists, Jonah Haché is getting set to celebrate the release of his second solo album, Botsford, at the Laundromat Espresso Bar this coming Tuesday evening. This album is entirely instrumental and is comprised of songs that Haché had written that were included in a locally produced documentary.
As if Haché isn't quite busy enough with his solo work while also being the newest member of long-running, acclaimed acid-jazz group Les Paiens, he performed this past summer at Follyfest and Messtival 5 and is also founding member of TBA Collective, a group comprised of local artists and musicians.
Haché can be forgiven for the more than five-year lapse between solo albums.

"My solo work was the first project that I focused on making something out of" Haché says. "It was approximately a year after that first record that I started the TBA Collective, which in turn became my life in a lot of ways."
Written over the course of the past few years, Haché says that because his job had him often away from home, maybe of the songs featured on Botsford were written in hotel rooms. As such, the music that Haché was composing took on a distinctly electronic form.
It might have taken Haché half a decade to record and release his sophomore record, but his down time has been productive. He says he has another completed record (Exhausted Autopilot) ready to be released this February and also expects to put together a live off-the-floor record of the loop-based dance music that he has been composing as of late.
While the show at the Laundromat on Tueday is to celebrate the release of his new record, Haché says the evening will be more like a listening party and not a live performance. While there will be DJs playing a mix of music for those in attendance, Haché will not be on the stage performing songs featured on his new record.
"Being electronic-based, my new record will be played outright," he says. "I wanted to celebrate the release of Botsford this way as I consider it to be well-suited to a 'chilled' type of environment. I like the concept of people being able to talk with one another while listening to the music. I prefer the concept of not being the focus but rather something for others to use to connect to one another"

people-more-in-your-life » du site
Internet de uStream. Il est également
possible de l’entendre via son
Bandcamp.
Il jouera également au One Man
Band Festival, qui met en vedette le
talent et la créativité des musiciens
solitaires. Ce festival a lieu pour une
2e année consécutive à Montréal, du
23 au 26 mai.
Awesomeness
Autre que de la musique en
boucle et des projections visuelles
trépidantes, Jonah Haché fait en
moyenne un million d’autres choses.
Il est entre autres membre des Païens,
membre de Something Delicious
(groupe qui reprendra vie d’ici peu),
ancien membre de Motorleague et
de Morse Code Alphabet pour ne
nommer qu’eux.
Jonah se promène régulièrement
un peu partout au Canada en tant
qu’ingénieur sonore pour PostMan
Post-Production Studio.
Il est également le coordonnateur
des projections visuelles pour la 6e
édition du festival Messtival qui se
déroulera du 9 au 11 août à Anagance
au Nouveau-Brunswick, et qui est
organisé par le TBA Collective, un
collectif artistique pour lequel il a été
le directeur de 2008 à 2012.
Vous vous rendez compte
maintenant à quel point cet être est
fantastique, et regrettez de ne pas
vous être rendu au Coude pour le
voir? Comptez-vous chanceux, il joue
pratiquement tous les lundis au Plan
b avec ses amis de Science Friction,
soit Denis Surette à la guitare, Kevin
McIntyre au clavier et aux projections
visuelles, Glen Deveau aux percussions
et lui-même à la guitare, au clavier,
aux effets vocaux et au beat-box. - Karine Martel - Le Front - 10 avril 2013

"Check out this amazing video by New Brunswick artist Jonah Haché"

The video is iPhone FAIL by New Brunswick resident and TBA Collective member Jonah Haché.

This masterpiece, featuring Haché being taken down by a mass dancing mosh pit of hand puppets, while expressing his disgust over his broken iPhone, will have you bopping in your seat as well as have you question all your previous hand puppet beliefs!

Thanks Jonah, I am going to have this song stuck in my head all day! and probably have nightmares about it tonight...

"Top 20 under 30: Trendsetters - Jonah Haché"

Gazing thoughtfully at his well-worn Chucks, Jonah Haché attempts to recall all the projects he's on work. After a few 'ums' and 'has', he begins, trails off, apologizes and starts again.
"Wait", he says, after a few failed attempts at becoming cohesive. "I actually just wrote down my year in review. This will get easier if I just read it."
The above won't surprise anyone who knows the 27-year-old Moncton man. He's scattered, but you can hardly blame him: most times, he's got so much on the go, and is churning out so many new ideas, it's hard to keep them all straight. To Haché, life is a chaotic and perfect work of art in progress.
Thought he's an audio engineer by trade, Haché's played with so many local bands (like Morse Code Alphabet, Quote Unquote On Hiatus, Something Delicious, The Motorleague) it's hard for him to recall each one when prompted. After playing around Moncton for a few years, Haché noticed the lack of unification in the city's arts scene.
"We wanted to merge our art and music groups together, since we were already hanging out and discussing great ideas under the influence of many devices. Like so many people in cities, nothing would come to fruition," he said. "I wanted to find ways we could harness and develop systems to make plans go into action."
And thus, in 2008, the TBA Collective was born - a group committed to making the Hub City beautiful and interesting, one exhibit, one show, and one festival at a time.
Nearly three years later, and the Collective has helped up-and-coming artistic types by launching an indie mag and throwing countless shows, including a can't-miss out- door staple summer bash, dubbed Messtival. Recently, the group has been instrumental in reviving a relic downtown building, Botsford Station, now used as a creative space.
Haché is also involved with the Green Party, promotes eco-friendly research and public art. Occasionally touring with bands, he even wrote a how-to guide for musicians tacking the road for the first time.
"We've got a lot of space and a lot of ideas" he said. "Moncton's a canvas that we can still shape." - Victoria Handysides, HERE magazine, New Brunswick

"Fridays with … Jonah Haché"

Jonah Hache is arguably one of the busiest guys in the Moncton music scene. From playing bass in The Motorleague and singing and guitar-ing for Something Delicious, Hache also works with TBA Collective, an art and music collective of like-minded, creative folks.
Hache has a lot on the go, as he explains below. This weekend, he’s playing with The Motorleague at the East Coast Music Awards in Sydney, N.S. The four-piece leads New Brunswick in nominations with three:  Group Recording of the Year and Loud Recording of the Year for the band’s recent album, Black Noise, and Video of the Year forHymn For The Newly Departed, directed by Moncton’s Marc Savoie of The Postman production studio.
Recently, the ‘League went in the studio in Toronto to work on the follow-up to Black Noise. Luckily, the boys escaped a nasty collision with a deer on the way up to the big city which totaled their van. Despite this, Hache says “Toronto was great!” and adds that he’s really happy with the work on the new record so far.
Enough from us, here’s the word from Jonah …
1. What are you up to these days, musically or otherwise? (Feel free to plug whatever you’ve got coming up.)
The Motorleague went into the studio in mid February in Toronto to record their second full length. Something Delicious is recording an acoustic album. I’ve been recording my solo album with paranerd (Paul Goguen) producing it at Studio Revoluson, where I work.
Been composing a soundtrack for a short film Marcel Gallant from Postman made called Magnifier.
With TBA Collective, touching up the last pages of a 12-page booklet entitled “How To Organize Events In Moncton” that I’d like to have ready for MIMEfest this year.  I also have a music and art specific zine that I’m looking to put out in full colour. The zine include interviews with a few artists as well as some content about music, mostly how-to’s and DIY info.
2. How did you get into the music business and what was the first major lesson you learned once you got your feet wet?
Work with who wants to work as hard as you do, not who’s the most talented.
3. What song or album have you been listening to most lately?
Me and a bunch of musicians that I play with as well as music enthusiasts just had a privately co-ordinated mp3 party that introduced me to quite the gems! These are my faves: Arvo Part, Collections of Colonies of Bees, Toe, Tera Melos.
4. What’s your favourite way to waste time or relax?
Watching The Office or anything nature related, doing yoga. I find yoga necessary to keep my momentum going.
5. The Internet and social media are allowing artists to get closer to their fans than they ever were in some respects. What are your thoughts on this?
I think it’s amazing. It’s so hard to find non-generic music on TV or the radio that it’s nice to escape it to something with more substance. It’s also a great tool to use for someone who wants to get into festivals or book a tour with websites like sonicbids.com or pollstar.com, not to mention, obviously myspace and Facebook.
6. If you weren’t in the music industry in some capacity, what would you be doing today?
In video. I’d be in the arts regardless. But to me, it’s entertainment all the same.
7. What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learned recently?
That some frogs and some turtles can lower their heart rate for a winter, let themselves freeze, basically die, then come back to life for the spring…
Musically speaking, my roommate (Ross Cole) is a great freaking audio engineer. I’ve heard some of the recordings he’s been putting out lately for different bands and it’s some of the pro-est stuff I’ve heard in town.
8. If you could hit the “delete” button on anything related to music (a song, artist, trend, whatever), what would you delete?
Trying to write pop music.
9. What’s your favourite thing to drink (alcoholic or otherwise)?
I’ve been off the booze for months now. I feel a lot younger now. I’m a huge tea drinker. I can never get enough of peppermint tea. Opens the lungs up. I did figure out that orange juice and egg nog work together though! It’s like a orange creamcicle!
10. Finish the sentence below and please elaborate on what you mean:
The east coast music scene … is growing. There’s so much that wants to happen, it just needs more spear-headers who can turn dreams into actions. Atlantic Canada is crazy thirsty to get out of the “same old thing” “old school” attitude and it shows every time it gets something new.
11. What’s the next thing you want to accomplish, musically or otherwise?
Composition for a full length film. Touring Europe. I’ve got a list of new concept art events that I’d like to try out.

"An Evening of Music and Art - Kuato Summer EP Release"

(segment of article)
Moncton's own Jonah Haché (of Something Delicious fame) was up first. Armed with an acoustic guitar, a keyboard, a pair of microphones, and an array of effects pedals, Haché's set wasn't just singer/songwriter guitar and vocal (my most dreaded genre to write about) but, true to form, a blend of drum loops, guitars, keyboard drones, and crazy vocal effects. After a few guitar numbers he switch to the keyboard and delivered a hand full of punchy, wild, numerous songs more akin to something that Thom Yorke would do, if Thom Yorke was still young and funny and not British. - Tiffany Naugler, Noisography - Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Jonah Haché grew up in Moncton, New Brunswick Canada. In 2005, he graduated from Center For Arts and Technology in Fredericton, NB, where he studied digital audio. He continued from there taking media art related workshops learning how to make artist 3D projections to accompany other artforms such as music and poetry. As a founder of TBA Collective, a non-profit volunteer based local art and music cooperative; Haché has coordinated many projects, events and meetings.

In the last year Jonah’s projected and performed for Follyfest, Evolve Festival, Afternoon Delight, Future Forest Festival, Midsummer Madness festival, One Man Band festival, AcadieRock, Havest Jazz and Blues and Messtival. He released the album Botsford (December 2012), an instrumental album of experimental electronic and orchestral songs, Exhausted Autopilot (February 2013), more indie pop oriented, with looping or voices, textures and acoustic instrument, and the next year released “Moderate Autopilot” (April 2014) a similar album to Exhausted Autopilot, but with drummer. He’s currently also a member of Les Païens, a loop-based jazz-dance band from Moncton.

During fall 2013, Jonah released the album “Carte Blanche” with loop-based acid-jazz band Les Paiens around the same time CBC television covers a documentary on the band.

In September 2014, ARTV featured Jonah as a collaborative artist on one of the episodes of their shows where he performed a live audio video installation with another visual artist and a group of musicians.
