"Stand back: Jonas is all set to go international"

Jonas performed as the headline act at the bell center, a rare occurence for a local artist. It's been a month but the guys are still recovering from the din caused by 8 000 screaming fans. - La Gazette

Bio

He won his impossible wager of bringing old school rock back to life with his incredible voice, his extraordinary presence on stage and his rock and roll attitude! His first album launched in September 2004, on which he worked with Desmond Child, is certified gold and is dangerously approaching the magical number of 100 000 copies sold. His first DVD, JONAS Live…As We Roll! is already certified platinum. He has become a true phenomenon: his remake of Stevie Nicks’ classic song Edge of Seventeen was the hit of summer 2005. Jonas opened for Van Halen during their North American tour in November 2004 (in arenas across Canada and the United States). He gave memorable sold out performances at the Spectrum (3 times) and at the Metropolis in Montreal. He was nominated for Anglophone album of the year at the 2005 ADISQ Award Gala and for Best New Artist & Best Rock Album at the 2006 Juno Awards.

SuperSexMe was the first single off his second album Suite Life, released in October 2006. The album was produced and mixed by John Webster (The Cult, Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe) in collaboration with writers such as Desmond Child (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Ricky Martin), Aldo Nova and Antoine Sicotte. In addition, French composer Quentin Bachelet (Chimène Badi, Hélène Segara, Cunnie Williams) was entrusted with three record bands. Jonas teams up with his faithful guitarist Corey Diabo, both in studio and on stage.
In the wake of his second radio single Bows & Arrows, which quickly reached the top of Quebec’s charts, Jonas hit the road for a tour throughout the province to launch his new opus. This tour even included a stop at the Bell Centre Theatre in Montreal on February 23, where he performed for over 8 000 people. Attention: Jonas will very soon be conquering the world!
