Jonas & David consisting of Renee Jonas and Mark David are a new local acoustic duo.
Two experienced and accomplished performers who have joined together to combine
their skills in a way which is stunning fans all over the countryside.
Renee’s mellifluous voice grabs your attention from the first note and holds you
enthralled till the end while Mark’s soulful guitar playing rhythmically sweeps you
along on their journey of musical alchemy.
A singer/songwriter, who has written over 100 songs; Renee has been performing
locally and nationally for the last decade, performing in such prestigious venues as
the Sydney Opera House and the Melbourne Telstra Dome.
Mark, a noteworthy guitarist, has been performing for the last 20 years in both
covers and original bands. From the smoky jazz
clubs of Melbourne to the rocking pubs and clubs in Queensland, Mark has played,
taught and written in many diverse styles of music over the years.
Jonas & David is an amalgamation of styles and genres incorporating
both Renee and Mark’s eclectic tastes in music, from their shared love of jazz through
to modern pop songs, this acoustic duo has a mixture of covers and originals that will
leave fans wanting more.
Though having only formed the duo recently, they already have local fans raving
about them. Having recently recorded a demo, with an album to be recorded in 2009, they are gaining
recognition and support from the wider community. With their combined talents and
ability to turn a crowd into a fan base this is one dynamic duo that is guaranteed to
please both young and old.
