Bio
Aurora was formed in the autumn of 2006
by five young musicians who met at the
Royal Academy of Music in Århus, DK.
The band participated in the 2007
Young Jazz competition in Denmark and
was qualified for the finales in
Copenhagen Jazzhouse where they won
silvermedals. The jury said about
Aurora that they had a strong concept
and was capable of painting some
beautiful images with their music.
Aurora have since then received a spot
in the program at the Pulsfestival,
Århus International Jazzfestival
and Århus Jazzselskab.
Aurora is currently working on their
debut album set to be recorded in
Amazing Space studio. The recordings
are supported by DMF and The City of
Århus.
