Jonathan Boddie

Jonathan Boddie

A blend of of blues, rock and soul that is reminiscent of late 60's era music with a modern rock makeover. The songs are memorable and mainstream, yet still experimental and creative.

Jonathan Boddie was born in Nashville, TN and is the former lead guitar player for Stargunn feat. Shooter Jennings. Jonathan's music is a melting pot that entices the listener with many different flavors, but leaves a familiar after-taste. His roots run deep in blues, rock, and soul, but he takes a bold step towards the mainstream to revive and reinvent styles left by the wayside. His influences include Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, B.B. King, Pink Floyd, Marvin Gaye, Stone Temple Pilots, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Tom Petty, Lenny Kravitz, and John Mayer.

Is currently working on his first EP entitled "Roll Away the Stone"

Set List

Jonathan plays a 45min set featuring all original material. Songs in the set range from the slow piano driven ballad "Vacant" to the guitar laden blues-rock songs like "Freight Train," a crowd favorite that has an outro a la Jimi Hendrix "Voodoo Child." It's a must hear!
