"Web Digest Weekly"

Back To Good is the sophomore album by Jonathan Clay. Following his successful debut with Whole New Me, this CD is chock full of melodic, infectious tunes that inspire and delight the listener. Jonathan has a silky smooth voice and he uses it to its utmost potential on songs like After All, More Than A Picture, Design, and Everything. The whole project sparkles with excitement and the energy Jonathan possesses is well translated in his work here. This is one album that will hook even the most casual listener. Back To Good is sort of an understatement, to be truthful.
This is a tour de force of immense proportions. A touching collection of beautiful tracks that beckons one to get lost in its brilliance. It is doubtful that Jonathan will suffer the dreaded sophomore slump with this one. It’s too full of highs to go
anywhere but up.
Grade: A+ - Carey

"Revamp Magazine Review"

Whole New Me Jonathan Clay's first CD. For a CD of what turned out to be the best recordings from his first sessions, it has a great flow. It really introduces the flexibility he has in his playing and songwriting. This CD is worth every track – yes, all 7 of them. I recommend visiting his site, his Myspace page, and realizing his following speaks wonders about his talent. I would expect to see much more of Jonathan Clay. - Eric Beyer

"Whole New Me Review"

I was greatly impressed with Jonathan Clay's album. I thought it was like a blast from the past, so easy to listen to and sounded a lot like the old folk music to me on some of the songs. I greatly enjoyed the beat and tempo's of the guitar made me feel alive inside and happy. I like music that makes you happy and is easy to understand without screaming at you.

I have listened to the CD numerous times and have started taking it with me when I drive since it is relaxing. I have just about got the feel of his music and it is so soothing I think his main goals of this CD were to relax the mind and take frustration out everyday life with his tunes.

So in my opinion the album was impressive there is only one thing I would change and that is to add a few more tracks :>) For a first time album, with him doing all the singing and playing the guitars, it is fabulous. I will recommend this album to everyone I talk to. I liked it that much. Keep up the good work Jonathan and the your fan's will definitely follow your lead! - Stephanie Donoway

BIO
I was born in Houston, Texas (April 3rd, 1985) and lived there until I was 18. I reluctantly went to college in San Marcos, TX and attended Texas State University. I recorded Whole New Me my first 7 song CD while I was at Texas State. I also began to build an online presence at MySpace. I didn't realize it then, but that period of time was crucial for me getting my feet under me and learning to play for people. My junior yr of college, it started to get pretty tough to balance music and school. I decided it would be best to pursue something I had passion for, and try to make my way doing what I loved. I recorded Back to Good my second CD last winter. I'm 23 now, and I feel so blessed to be where I am today. Long story short, I played around Texas for about a year. After that, I put together a tour with two other indie artists, saw the country, and played 6 nights a week for over a month. It was AMAZING! The good, the bad, the ups, and the downs. It was seriously incredible to see the faces and meet the people who support my music from 1000 miles away. It was pretty surreal. I spent this summer writing with some incredible writers. I finished 9 songs. Now I'm putting together a fall tour.
