These original works continue to excite audiences since its release in February 2008. The album gives clear insight into the man, his creative genius and passion for music. His original works present a classical fusion that doesn't fit neatly into one genre, but to the listener it is a fresh sound with the nuance of jazz, romance and dramatic phrasing supported strongly by his classical base.

As a composer, Jonathan thrives for originality and loves creating fresh sounds; however, he is in his element when performing on stage. Delivering a great performance before an audience and receiving a wonderful response of approval and enjoyment is the ultimate achievement.

Each song on the album has its own unique sound and you are sure to enjoy them regardless of your preferred genre. Jonathan's new album which will be in the genre of jazz is scheduled for release in 2011.

Jonathan is most pleased to have the opportunity to work with Brian Lockard, the pianist on the CD. He is an award winning artist whose articulation and fluent playing style accentuates and compliments Jonathan's narrative writing style.

Jonathan has been influenced by great artists and composers such as Claude Debussy, Fritz Kriesler, Oscar Peterson, Sergey Rachmaninoff, and William Walton.

What We're Meant To Do

Written By: Gloria Harris

That's What We’re Meant To Do

If you wanted you could care,
You would turn away despair,
You can change the world with music,
The way you’re meant to do.

I can mend your heart with words,
Take away the pain your feeling,
Fill your heart with love,
The way I’m meant to do.

If you believe in love and praying,
Open your mind hear what I’m saying,
Take a chance on this,
The way we’re meant to do.

It takes a different way of seeing,
That’s all to change your being,
It’s just that simple,
That’s what we’re meant to do.

Life takes us through these changes,
We get stronger or it stains us,
We should let it go,
That’s what we’re meant to do.

Please let me be your walking cane,
When you need me call my name.
I’ll hold you up,
That’s what I’m meant to do.

So, don’t be fearful when your weary,
The clouds will lift, and you’ll see clearly,
Your light will shine, again,
That’s what it’s meant to do.

I'm Getting Better Day by Day

I’m Getting Better Day By Day
By: Gloria Harris

I’m a day older than I was yesterday,
The hands on the wall clock ticked around the face,
Another thing happened along the way,
I grew another inch when I measured me today,

I’m a day smarter than I was yesterday,
I can say the alphabet I will start to read today,
Another thing happened along the way,
I met a new friend and I’m sharing when I play,

I didn’t see it happen but there’s one thing I can say,
I’m getting better everyday.

I’m a day older than I was yesterday,
The sun rose in the east and in the west it went away,
Another thing happened along the way,
I can cross the monkey bars, pump the swings all day,

I’m a day smarter than I was yesterday,
I know numbers, colors and shapes,
Another thing happened along the way,
I’m getting stronger everyday.

I didn’t see it happen but I have to say,
Learning is easy day by day,

I’m a day older than yesterday,
The calendar moves a number higher every single day,
Another thing happened along the way,
I’m writing with a pencil and I practice everyday,

I didn’t see it happen but I must say,
Practice makes perfect by the way,

I said I didn’t see it happen, but nothing stays the same,
And I’m getting better everyday.

Everybody wants to be the one

Written By: Gloria Harris

Shooting through the cosmos, like
A string of fireworks in the sky,
Dart to the earth like a shooting star,
Landing on the wings of the wind,

Everybody wants to be the one,
To bring the world down on its knees
Everybody wants to be a star,
A super human being,

Moving with time, place to place,
I saddle up a horse and ride out to space,
Sliding down a beam of light,
Riding the waves of the beats all night,

Everybody wants to be the one,
To bring the world down on its knees
Everybody wants to be a star,
A super human being,

Hovering above the celestial brink,
Feel the pulse of the earth beneath my feet,
Take a roller coaster ride on the wind,
Fulfilling all my dreams,

Everybody wants to be the one,
To bring the world down on its knees
Everybody wants to be a star,
A super human being,

Taking the world by storm, I find
The pressure can be a lot on the mind,
Jump on the wind and soar out to space,
Finding peace again in a happy place,

Everybody wants to be the one,
To bring the world down on its knees
Everybody wants to be a star,
A super human being,

Everybody wants to be the one,
Nobody wants to just have fun,
Everybody wants to be a star
A super human being.
Fulfilling all my dreams,
A super human being,
A super human being,

I called you darling

Written By: Gloria Harris

They laughed when I called you darling,
It was corny, oh….. I know.
But they were jealous and we were in love,
Yeah, that’s the way I roll.

You let me think I was in control,
Darling, I spoke my mind, but
All the time you stood there silent,
You had different plan in mind,

Everyone we knew said nothing,
They knew you but their tongues were tied,
They watched as I lived in my little world,
They looked away when the marriage died,

What happened to the man I married?
It was less than a year ago,
The man I trusted with my heart,
A band of tin not gold,

You were a chameleon, or
Perhaps I didn’t want to see.
It could be I was desperate,
For someone to love me,

For you the words came easy,
Which now is plain to see.
What I hate most is the time I lost,
When you were here with me.

My life should be better for it,
But I’m a mess as you can see,
Lost my virtue, and got two kids,
Working hard to make ends meet,

They laughed when I called you darling,
I have a drink just at the thought,
But damn it really burns me,
That I let myself get caught.

I’ll never call another darling,
Yeah, good luck with that game,
I’ll be the one called darling,
I’ll ask, baby? Did you call my name?
