My music is melodic, poppy, new, yet old, and bears a type of simplicity as well. I include spiritual ideas, as well as ideas that challenge some notions of spirituality.

Biography

Some of my more prevalent influences are David Bowie, The Beatles, Queen, and The Corporation. I feel that these artists really seemed to have a handle on what makes a song stand out, and in my perspective, that is catchiness and energy that engages, excites, and captivates and audience.

What sets me apart from other artists is my inclination toward catchy melody, my drive for innovation, and my preoccupation with spirituality. There are many bands who have one, or even two of these qualities, but I have yet to encounter a band who encompasses all successfully. It's unfortunate, but the term "Christian music" has fallen into the category of low quality art, and rightly so, as no Christian artists seem to care about creating a new sound, but rather, many of them seem to be emulating what other artists, secular or Christian, are doing, thereby giving the consumer the idea that a "Christian " product is second rate. I would like to do my part to curb this notion, as well as provide more enjoyable music for the general population.

I have been performing since around the age of five. I started in front of my family, then at my church, and at one point, in a talent contest, where at the age of seven, I won second place among numerous other contestants. I started writing songs in ninth grade, and fell in love with the process. Ten years later, I've just finished college, and I currently have the plan to put the rest of my life on hold in order to pursue music.

Narrow Is the Road

Written By: Jonathan Rojas

Narrow is the Road
Say to me there’s work that needs to be, and there’s no use in triviality. It’s grace, I say, that gets me through the day. Bad seeds will make the feeling fade away.
Oh, the promises of joy forever. But narrow is the road that leads there.
Everyday I wake up thinking here’s the perfect place, I say, and wouldn’t it be just great if nothing threw me off, and I could stay forever in the shelter of your wings, never letting go. Oh Father, in you hands I am. Take this vessel, use it as you may.
There’s a place that breathes amazing grace, and there’s no tears and troubles to erase. We’ll be kings, and we’ll see precious things, and bowing down as all of Heaven sings.
Never let me take your words for granted, but hang onto you every one, yes!
