BandCountryPop

I'm just a singer/songwriter trying to put out songs with a good message. I would like for people to know that songs can be fun and uplifting or sad and truthful without being vulgar or offensive.

Biography

Because my influences are so varied, it's hard to say what my style is. The songs I write are mostly country/pop/adult contemporary, but I love just about every style of music. Since it is just me and a guitar, I don't do much that requires a great deal of orchestration. I think I have a unique talent for writing songs that people relate to, which is what sets me apart from many singer/songwriters today. I don't just write to say that I've finished another song, but to say something meaningful where every line is important to the concept of the song.

On Your Love

Written By: Jonathan Rosenblum

Don't need a whiskey lullaby to sing me to sleep at night
In the field from dawn 'til dusk keeps me away from that stuff
I've got a better way to unwind, something else to fill my mind
All the way to the top

I get high on your love
Drinking it up, I can't get enough
I survive on your love
Don't need to sleep, don't need to eat
Baby, I fill up on your love

Don't need a whiskey girl to be my fantasy
I get home from work at night, it ain't no bottle you hold tight
Give me another taste of your love, baby one just ain't enough
With a habit like that

I get high on your love
Drinking it up, I can't get enough
I survive on your love
Don't need to sleep, don't need to eat
Baby, I fill up on your love

You’re my shot in the morning
My chaser at noon
It's happy hour all day long with you

I get high on your love
Drinking it up, I can't get enough
I survive on your love
Don't need to sleep, don't need to eat
Baby, I fill up on your love

Love Doesn't Leave

Written By: Jonathan Rosenblum

A song I heard said, "Love's been leaving for awhile"
A book I read said, "Love never fails"
Somewhere between reality and truth
There's an answer for the fate of me and you

Oh, I believe love doesn't leave
it stays the same and we're the ones who change
Can't you see what that means for you and me
All the time that we spent looking down on love
we should have been looking up
'cause love didn't leave we left love

All is fair in love and war some say
but I've heard love is patient, love is kind
it's not too late to throw our weapons down
it's not too late for a reprieve, not too late to turn around

Oh, I believe love doesn't leave
it stays the same and we're the ones who change
Can't you see what that means for you and me
All the time that we spent looking down on love
we should have been looking up
'cause love didn't leave we left love

It's easier to keep our feet planted firmly on the ground
That way it hurts less when we fall
Love's on a higher plane we may never reach
But it's the reaching for it that will save us all

Oh, I believe love doesn't leave
it stays the same and we're the ones who change
Can't you see what that means for you and me
All the time that we spent looking down on love
we should have been looking up
'cause love didn't leave we left love

It's Not About Me

Written By: Jonathan Rosenblum

Maybe I changed, maybe you didn’t
But somehow we’re not the same
Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t
My place to place the blame

It takes two hearts to make one life
And a lifetime to get it right
I have hopes and fears, wants and needs
That I’m willing to concede,
If you’re willing to stay and willing to say,
“It’s not about me”

It’s not about me, it’s about me and you
Loving each other after all we’ve been through
Living our lives for the life hereafter
Peace and joy and love and laughter
What a love this would be
If we both could say, “It’s not about me.”

Look at us then, look at us now
Is anything ever for sure?
If we knew when, if we knew how
Would it help us change our future?

It takes two hearts to make one life
And a lifetime to get it right
I have hopes and fears, wants and needs
That I’m willing to concede,
If you’re willing to stay and willing to say,
“It’s not about me”

It’s not about me, it’s about me and you
Loving each other after all we’ve been through
Living our lives for the life hereafter
Peace and joy and love and laughter
What a love this would be
If we both could say, “It’s not about me.”

You’re part of who I am, so now tell me who I’ll be
The whole things in your hands, just remember

It’s not about me
It’s about me and you
Loving each other after all we’ve been through
Living our lives for the life hereafter
Peace and joy and love and laughter
What a love this would be
If we both could say, “It’s not about me.”
