Jonathan Schwart

With a style reminiscent of such great jazz vocalists as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, and Mel Tormé Jonathan Schwart performs a wide repertoire of songs from the American Songbook, as well as Brazilian standards in Portuguese, and lesser known songs from Broadway.

Texas-born Jonathan Schwart has been singing most of his life. During college, he sang regularly with the Austin based Nash Hernandez Orchestra, a sixteen piece jazz band, and quickly became a singer in demand for the University of Texas's Orange & White Ball, an annual event attended by more than 1,500 students. While in Austin he developed his style with composer/producer Gary Powell, producer of the Disney Sing-Along album series. Jonathan recently moved to Chicago to pursue his singing career and has played with some of the city's finest musicians.
