Biography

Raised in the Midwest, alive on the road, and surviving in NYC,
Jonathon TeBeest has lived a life of music. He has been playing
the drums since the age of 3. With these skills, Jonathon has
been touring and recording with bands since the age of 19. He
has also had training on the piano and all things percussion, and
has picked up the guitar, bass, and anything else he can get his
hands on. Jonathon started his professional career with the intense
horn-drivin' party band, 3 Minute Hero, back in Minnesota. That
band started his love of performing live as the boys played
somewhere around 250 shows a year in its existence. Then it
was off to New York City, where Jonathon hooked up with Ms.
Melora Creager and her group Rasputina. He has appeared on 3 albums, with a live record to be released soon and has toured the nation a few times over. Work has also begun on a new
studio record to be recorded this summer. While being a member in Rasputina, Jonathon has
also had the time to work with many other NYC
bands, including New Professionals, Mink, Gravity,
THIS, and Strangelove. He can also be seen
performing with Goodfinger and Dirty Excuse these
days. And when he's not at home, he can also
be found in other areas of the country sitting in with
his old buddies Kwang and Warsaw. Jonathon is
also a songwriter and has just begun the foundation
of his own group. Hopefully, y'all will be into it and
another side of this traveling man will be on display
very soon!

Lyrics

i've got my reasons

Written By: jonathon te beest

i've got my reasons for leavin' you i've got my reasons for bein' untrue it's not better for me to see this thing through
i'll only break your heart like i always do

i've been lyin' here on the bed
i've been lyin' been lyin' to myself
'bout how much you mean to me
and how much i want to believe

i've got my reasons for leavin' you
i've got my reasons for bein' untrue
it's not better for me to see this thing through
i'll only break your heart and snap it in two

at the end at the end of the day
as i lay me down my troubles remain
i've told so many lies and mostly to you
and now that you're gone it's not as easy as i thought it would be to move on

i'll only break your heart and snap it in two like i always do
