Jon Beal

Jon Beal grew up in the San Fernando Valley, just outside of Los Angeles, in a family rooted in both God and music. He dove into music at the age of thirteen when he won second place in the youth talent contest at his church for playing on a drumset for the very first time. Jon had a deep desire to write music and began to teach himself to play the guitar at fifteen. At sixteen, he started to play guitar for the youth group at The Church on the Way. Jon has been involved in worship leadership for ten years at The Church on the Way, a 12,000 member Foursquare church founded by Pastor Jack Hayford, where he led for the College Ministries and the weekly Young Adults service for four years before moving into leading worship for the church's main services. He recently finished studying in the Recording Artist Program at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, where he graduated at the top of his class with the award for Most Outstanding Project. After graduating from MI, Jon engineered and produced recording projects for independent artists such as indie-rock band Hitchcock Holiday, piano-rock artist Kevin Hastings, singer-songwriter Sharon Thomas, and Canadian pop vocalist Erin Robertson.

Jon has a passion to see this generation rise up and pursue the call of God on their lives. With the release of his debut, self-produced solo album, Separation Anxiety, and his latest EP, Redemption, slated for an mid-2007 release, things are looking up for the twenty-three year old.
