Bio

Jonathan's Bio:

It was in the sun room of his grandmother's house listening to her play the piano where Jonathan Cashman began to fall in love with music. At the age of 14 he picked up the guitar and he fell in love all over again. He was involved in numerous garage bands until he got together with a high school friend and they began to write together on the third floor of Jonathan's mother's house in Rumford, Rhode Island. The two developed their song writing skill together and soon built their song catalog up to 100 songs (some good, some bad, some very bad). Before long, they formed a band called The Trees with a sound heavily influenced by The Beatles and the sixties sound (although it was 2003). They recorded a demo, and soon recorded a 14 song album (two songs from this album can be found on the first two tracks of Jonathan's Timepieces). They were picked up by a local label called Big Noise Records and began showcasing for the major labels. It was at this time that their guitarist Dave Northup came to the Lord and Jonathan soon followed. His conversion and commitment to Christ allowed for no compromise and soon the band broke up, but God had other plans for Jonathan.

After praying one night, Jonathan came to a place of full submission of all of his singing, playing and songwriting abilities to the Lord for His use. Soon after, he woke up one morning with an idea and a simple little tune. This tune soon broke out and became an all out 50 song musical on the last week of the life of Christ called, The King of All Kings. Jonathan was used to playing and recording with three, but at this point he found himself playing and recording with 33 singers and musicians form around the area, it was nothing short of a miracle... They toured and played the musical everywhere, it even reached as far down as Nashville, TN. It was here where Jonathan fell in love with the land and the peacefullness of the country. Soon, he made his way down and wrote a solo album. Jonathan left Tennessee after three months of writing to complete Bible College at Zion Bible Institute in Barrington, RI.

After college he teamed up with former Trees guitarist, Dave Northup (who would play bass) and King of all Kings pianist Manny deMelo, to form a band called, The Way. They got a female drummer in Diane Cabral and they were off. While playing locally one night, Jonathan met his true love Britney Balaber. She and her band opened for The Way that night beginning a fantastic relationship. Soon, they found themselves recording and writing together. Before long they came to Nashville and are presently in music ministry under Danny Chambers at Oasis Worship Center in Nashville, TN. Jonathan just completed a love song CD and is currently working on a new Worship album with his new wife, Britney!, so stay tuned in for more...

Britney's Bio:

Britney was first intrigued by music at a very early age. She began singing, playing the piano, and even composing songs before the age of ten. Britney had a life-changing encounter with Christ at the age of thirteen and became a Christian. She then began to develop a genuine heart of worship and started on her path of using her musical giftings for the Lord.

As a young teenager, God began opening up opportunities for her to minister to both her peers and adults of all ages. She began ministering as a worship leader and original songwriter at churches, youth rallies, women`s conventions, festivals, tent revivals, coffeeshops, youth camps, high schools, and other various venues. Britney Balaber was also one of the youngest featured artists at New England's largest Christian concert: the Inside Out Soul Festival for two years in a row. By this time, at the age of sixteen, she had completed a recording project which received both radio play as well as exposure in local music stores. Her ministry continued to grow and expand as she followed the Lord`s leading and joined with Jonathan Cashman, whom she met while ministering locally.

Currently, Britney "Cashman" resides in Nashville with her husband Jonathan, as a worship leader, songwriter, and recording artist. Together, their love and passion for the Lord is is the driving force behind their ministry. They are presently writing a worship album together to be released soon!
