Bio
Jon Emery grew up in Vermont playing in rock and roll bands and making the girls squeal. Life was good. Then Jon joined the Air Force and went to Vietnam. Life was not good. After Jon got out he moved to Nebraska and started a band. Things got better. After trying out California for a while Jon ended up in Austin, Texas where he really hit his groove. Combining elements of old time country, early rock and roll, swing and gospel, Jon called his creation "Hillbilly Rock and Roll" and the crowds loved it. The Jon Emery Band made a couple of recordings for the prestigious Bear Family label out of Germany and now records for home town label Rib House Records. His energetic live show is now on the road playing for enthusiastic, fun loving crowds. For Jon Emery, life is good.
