Jonet is an up-and-coming singer and songwriter based in New York. Here’s what she has to say:
I’m Jonet. I’m a lover. I’m a fighter. La la la. Never stop believing in yourself. I’m passionate. I like kissing. Singing is not a choice for me, it’s just what I have to do to feel whole. I’m a contradiction, all the most honest people are….I believe in love and I believe in Guinness. I believe in doing things you regret and then not regretting them. I believe most of all in music. A self-proclaimed lover & fighter, Jonet doesn't just sing by choice, it’s what makes her feel whole. The music notes inked on her wrist are a permanent reminder that she can’t live without music. Writing, recording, and performing since the age of 9, Jonet can now be found working with top names in the industry. She is currently in the studio working on new material with Grammy Award-winning producer Mike Mangini (Joss Stone, Bruce Hornsby, David Byrne). You can also find Jonet performing at a number of legendary NYC venues including The Bitter End, Canal Room, and Arlene’s Grocery. Most recently, Jonet took the stage at “A Night at the Gibson Showroom”, an evening of music and fashion held at the famous Hit Factory, presented by Steve Madden Music & Munger Music . This January, Jonet begins a residency at hotspot Angels & Kings where she’ll be showcasing new sounds. The “Jonet 4 President” promo is an ever present campaign on the streets of NYC’s lower east side, introducing tastemakers to a new sound and the movement behind it. Welcome to the Melody Religion, we’re all part of it.
