Great themes, ideas, atmospheres and lyrics. Jon’s debut release is highly impressive and with his relocation to Berlin he will be an artist to look out for in the future. - Sydney Morning Herald - Metro
Some interesting things sure do wash up on these shores from that big land down below. Jon Kenner, recently relocated from Sydney to Berlin is busy spreading his debut solo release across Europe. Starting with some excellent shows in Berlin where Jon has set his music to various scenes from art films and to images produced by local VJ’s he is now organizing a 2009 summer tour with fellow band mate Dimitri Kucharzewski. The two are playing in each others projects to create a full program of music influenced by cinematics and poetics. Look out for shows in Berlin, Czech republic and the UK festival circuit, it promises to be well worth a look. - Ex-Berliner
Quite the interesting debut release. Its great to see Kenner expanding on his solid contribution to the Captains Package as a highly inventive drummer with compositional, keyboard and vocal skills to boot. There’s a particular way the instruments interact on this record that has the subtlety of an arranger that’s solidly grounded in rhythm. With epic and evocative melodies and vocals added to this, there is something quite unique brewing here. - The Drum Media Sydney
