Currently from Lincoln, NE, Jonny Brock was raised in the Midwest - primarily the rural Midwest. He began performing at age 6 and fell in love with the spotlight. He picked up the guitar at 16 and taught himself to play the guitar. Shortly thereafter, Jonny began composing music and penning his own lyrics. Though he's always been outgoing, he spent much of his youth alone in his room writing, rehearsing in front of the mirror, and fine tuning his guitar abilities. In early 2009, Jonny teamed up with 11th Level Productions of Lincoln to record a debut EP. Previously, he'd recorded and mastered his own work with an el-cheapo, bottom of the bucket program. The EP will be released in late 2009, followed by a Midwest tour. Jonny currently performs with a talented Lincoln-based drummer, Corey Jacox, who he met through a friend. Both artists draw from a wide array of artists, bands, and genres; so their final product is unique, yet characterized by wide appeal. Check Jonny Brock out at myspace.com/jonnybrockmusic.
