"Jonny Pecker and the Beaver Bustin’ Pickle Weasels (Drive-By Mustache)"

Jonny Pecker and the Beaver Bustin’ Pickle Weasels is what would happen if Motorhead mugged Metallica in a back alley, then shared a fifth of fire water awesomesauce with Poison.

After beating up the members of Limp Bizkit for trying to consider themselves nu-metal, they share stages with acts such as: Crowbar, Fuel, (hed) p.e., Fair to Midland, Dead Letter Circus, Lionize, The Supersuckers, D.R.I., Hell Within, Forever in Terror, Boondox, Axe Murder Boyz, and Letter to the Exiles (this part is true, they really have played with all these bands).

With songs titled: ‘Sex Stallion’, ‘Drink Til She’s Pretty’, ‘So Damn Gorgeous’, and ‘Drive-by Mustache’, there is no doubt you are in for an East Texas southern metal fiesta. Just don’t forget to add the two parts awesome.

Second Hand Lobster is now available and Sex Stallion is available September 4th. - Middle Tennessee Music

"Jonny Pecker and the Beaver Bustin' Pickle Weasels"

With a name like Jonny Pecker and the Beaver Bustin’ Pickle weasels, it’s a given this tongue-in-cheek bunch out of East Texas doesn’t take themselves too seriously.. Fortunately, the five some’s Whiskey-snortin’ Southern swagger is damn straight smoking’. Otherwise, it would be soooo easy to throw all kinds of sarcastic darts at their Secondhand Lobster CD. But the boys really have something here, and in between singing the praises of cougar conquest and motorboat in’, a catchy song or two gets “laid” to tape. “Get That Beaver” is simply irresistible, especially when it whips out the female vocal refrains. “Put Some Hair On It” along with “Throw My Hammer Down” and “Old Milwaukee” are unruly anthems which will go over great live for sure. Ultimately though, the best thing about JP&TBBPW is their sweeping sense of humor and infectious enthusiasm. - LIT Monthly

Bio

Out of the piney woods of East Texas, Jonny Pecker and the Beaver Bustin’ Pickle Weasels know how to do two things well in life: play music and cause trouble. The band’s raucous music and stage performance leaves no doubt in the minds of their audience what the band is about. Their music has been described as “hard driving,” “damn crazy,” and “what would happen if Motorhead mugged Metallica.” With influences of Motorhead, Clutch, Pantera, Waylon Jennings, and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, these reactions are expected. Their stage act resembles something from your mother’s worst nightmare, unless she really likes to party.

The band’s debut album “Second Hand Lobster” was released in 2010 with hits “Motorboatin’” and “Whiskey, Women, and Wine” grabbing the attention of locals. With heavy riffs, lyrics full of innuendos, and a stage act known to make Christian women drink whiskey and expose themselves, Jonny Pecker’s reputation began to precede their music. Having built a strong word-of-mouth following, the band continued this momentum by getting booked with some of rock’s best acts, including (but not limited to) Crowbar, In This Moment, Fuel, Saliva. (hed) p.e., Fair to Midland, Dead Letter Circus, The Supersuckers, Hell Within, Forever in Terror, Axe Murder Boyz, and Letter to the Exiles. Jonny Pecker’s live show with Dead Letter Circus resulted in Kim Benzie exclaiming “I have never seen anyone hump the stage like that before!”

With a great amount of momentum and high expectations, Jonny Pecker and the Beaver Bustin’ Pickle Weasels wanted to make sure that their next offering was even better than what they had done before. On September 4, 2012, the group released a four song EP entitled “Sex Stallion” that has been received well by fans old and new. The group plans on completing an East Coast tour in the near future to be followed up with a West Coast/Midwest tour. Until then the group will continue to play shows in Texas and the surrounding states.
