Jonny Stonez

Jonny Stonez is an Acoustic/Alternative/ Rock band that has been together for less than a year. The four members (Jonny, Ryan, Randy, and Brian) all went to High School together, but did not start the band until a year after graduating. Jonny and Brian used to be the bassist and drummer of another band by the name of Jonny Graves (the name has no relevance, my name actually is Jonny). As a part of Jonny Graves, Brian and Jonny shared the stage with acts like Shinedown, Tantric, Crossfade, Lacuna Coil, and were given a chance to play live over the air at rock 101.1 FM. But after realizing their differences in musical direction and tastes, Jonny began writing his own acoustic songs, which eventually became the first songs of Jonny Stonez. Though Brian and Jonny had been next-door neighbors for over a year, they hadn't become an official band until Jonny received a phone call from Ryan, who just happened to be the best drummer around, looking to jam with people who had the same dedication as he had. This was the beginning of Jonny Stonez the band. After playing together for 3 months and with only one gig under their belts, they decided to go into the studio and record their first EP. They called Mike Stansbury at TONEZONE STUDIOS who recorded the Jonny Graves EP. Seeing promise and potential, Mike worked round the clock to produce, record, and influence this young new band. 4 months, a few dollars, and 3 bassists later Jonny Stonez breaks into the New England scene. With their debut cd recently released and the support of influential music personalities, family members and Mike Stansbury, this great new acoustic band is ready to take the world by storm.
