Award Winning Artist Jono Manson to Release New CD Summertime on June 26th

New Mexico's Jono Manson to unveil dynamic new record, Summertime, on Sunset Records -- new recording marks Sunset Records Debut.

(Billboard Publicity Wire/Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWeb ) April 29, 2007 -- On June 26th, 2007, Sunset Records will release Summertime, a new album from Jono Manson, a gifted musician whose soulful voice masterfully shows passion in classic down home rock n' roll songs. Manson's rock influences helped to create 12 tracks that are sweltering and incendiary -- and true to his music. Jono and his band were adamant in their desire to continue to blend their unique brand of folk, rock, blues and soul with his powerful vocals.

Co-produced with long time collaborator Craig Dreyer, Manson and his band chose powerful classic sounding songs such as "I'll Tell You What I Know" the record's first single, and blended that with the soulful tunes like "Red Wine in the Afternoon." The CD's final track "Summertime's Almost Over," written by Manson, will be the CD's third single to be released this year. Manson himself penned these songs as distinctive, sophisticated Rock N' Roll driven ballads delivered in his own soulful style.

Manson is no stranger to the music industry. Jono's songs have been in soundtracks for movies like The Postman, Kingpin and Eight Days A Week, as well as on an HBO summer promo ad. He most recently produced "Il Giocoliere" a wonderful and quirky album for Italian singer-songwriter "Momo," released by Sony/BMG International.

Jono and his band are known for their relentless touring and high energy shows that have won them legions of fans all over the world. They have performed sold out shows around the country, have been regulars on the festival circuit and have a Europe tour in place for May and June this year. Jono and his band announced they are traveling across the globe and performing in several Italian and English venues, beginning in May.

SANTA FE, New Mexico - (April 18, 2007) - Jono Manson has a very busy schedule ahead of him in the next few months and through the summer. Jono and his band announced they are traveling across the globe and performing in several Italian and English venues, beginning in May.

The Sunset Recording artist plays the first show in his hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico on April 26. Jono will then get his band back on the road by traveling to Italy for the entire month of May, with concert dates in Sassari, Nuoro, Sarzana, Milano, Alessandria, Savona, Pocapagli and Firenze - to name a few.

In June, three stops will be made in England, in Cambridge, Swavesey and in the Watford, Hertfordshire.

Jono most recently produced "Il Giocoliere" a wonderful and quirky album for Italian singer-songwriter "Momo" released by Sony/BMG International. "Jono Manson's European tours are truly an event says Head of A&R at Sunset Records, Jason Bayne. Bayne continues saying that he "has a loyal and adoring fanbase all over Europe".

Over the years, Jono Manson has won many awards in the music industry. His songs have been placed in movies soundtracks for films such as The Postman, Kingpin and Eight Days a Week. Jono's upcoming studio album "Summertime" is being released on June 26 on Sunset Records. A United States summer tour, in key markets to support the CD, is also planned for the entire summer.
