Jon Richman

Jon Richman was born in Montreal in 1991. He was brought up in a loving and caring family but once in his teenage hood, the story started to change. Between the numerous changes of schools and his nonchalance to authority Jon starts to find it hard to integrate himself into the mould of society and brings him to decide to leave Montreal and start living with no strings attached.

With just a little bit of money in his pocket and a harmonica, he lives in a old abandoned van right on the pacific Ocean. This is when he starts writing his first songs. After borrowing a guitar from a friend he decides to leave to travel. With no plan B in hand, his music is now his only motivation to keep on going.

Once on the road, he starts his journey as a musician. It allows him to meet a lot of people that will help him to perform in many bars across the country and on the street, where his manager actually found him.

His “Entourage”

Despite that he is introvert and solitary, Jon likes to be surrounded by talented people to make things happen. He is currently learning a lot, working with: (to name few) Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, Godspeed You! Black Emperor), Glen Robinson (David Bowie, Tori Amos, B. B. King), Jonathan Dauphinais (keybass ; Beast, Ariane Moffatt), Pat Sayers (drums ; Melissa Auf Der Maur, Xavier Cafeine), Pierre-Luc Beaulieu (Mara Tremblay, Jean Leloup, Bran Van 3000) and Mark Grand'Maison (bass, guitar : Hotel Morphe).
