Montreal Musician Jonathan Rosner is Canada’s Best Looper!

Jonathan Rosner is off to Los Angeles in January to represent Canada at the 3
rd
edition of
the BOSS Loop Station World Championship!
The BOSS Loop Station World Championship Canadian National Finals took place on
stage at the Vancouver Guitar Show this past weekend in front of a live audience and a
panel of expert judges, which included Dave Rosin of Hedley and Todd Hancock from
99.3 The Fox. Jon will be representing Canada at the BOSS Loop Station World
Championship International Finals in January during the Winter NAMM Show.
This was Jon’s second time on the BOSS Loop Station Contest stage. Last year, Jon
placed second in the competition, but was determined to come back this year and win! A

helps other talented musicians expand their career. He has been seen on CTV television
network, is featured on a full-length album in stores across Canada, and has also won
several other competitions including "Festi-Blues International de Montreal".
Jon started his career at an early age, learning how to play guitar at ten, accompanying
jazz ensembles at thirteen, and teaching privately at eighteen while studying classical
guitar with internationally renowned guitarist Patrick Kearney at Vanier College. Today
Jon works as a music director, teacher, judge, competitor, arranger, and composer, either
for other artist’s projects or for his own. Jon frequently gigs with several artists including
Rosanna Tomiuk, Melina Soochan, Which is Which and Charles Pomerlo.
Placing second in the competition was Jacob Moon of Hamilton, ON. Third place went
to Chelsea Laing of Port Coquitlam, BC.
