Jon Strickland is originally from the south side of Houston, TX, home of the chopped and screwed. The city itself has seen its EQ’s of Highs and Lows from its consecutive roller coaster effect in terms of mainstream consistency. However, Jon has brought a new sound to Houston that will change the game permanently.

From UGK to Wu Tang, from Rap to Metal, Jon S indulged himself into the realms of music; From teaching him how to bang out beats on his MPC 200XL, to playing Def tones riffs on his Yamaha RGX electric guitar. Versatility best describes this method of operation for Jon S when recording.

Jon now plans to take Houston by storm with the release of "The Grey Tape." The highly anticipated EP will pay homage to his hometown and will give former fans and new fans an incite into Jon's life through his music.
