Bio
I am a prolific writer, performer and entertainer from Saginaw Michigan. My first lyrical experience began in grade school with my love of writing poetry. This writing experience earned me repeated recognition in my hometown. It also helped me realize that I have a true talent for writing. When in high school I witnessed the musical transformation of my poetry when bass lines and beats were added in a music studio. I began to use my poetic style to write rap songs to describe my experiences in the world around me.
I grew up listening to Michael Jackson, Prince, The Temptations, OJays, Dramatics, Stevie Wonder, Rick James, Otis Redding, Alexander ONeal and many other Soulful singers. I was constantly exposed to music.
Combinations of the Motown sound, Jazz, Hip-Hop and R&B inspires the sound, music and lyrics I create. As I matured, so did my lyrics, which reveals realities of love and life.
Jo narrates his rap songs with clever metaphors and clarity of words. He adds a unique flavor and variety to any song and can spice up any beat. Said Busta-Rhymes. My lyrical strength lies in my ability to navigate through my lyrics at slow, medium and even tongue twisting, I sing my own lyrical hooks and choruses giving my creations a unique, personal and dynamic feel.
I started opening up rap Performances for major artist since the age of 16. I have opened for artist like Yo-Yo, Ice Cube, Boss, The Dayton Family, Outkast, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, MC Breed, EShamn.
Although I am young I have performance experience and a dynamic stage presence. Performing before and audience is natural to me, whether its one person or a sold out venue I treat every performance with the same intensity and love. My life experiences flow through my writings and are a valuable part of my inspiration. I am a hip hop artist, I am a singer, I am a great writer, I am a producer, I am a performer and I am a business man. This business of music is not new to me. I enjoy life everyday, although tough and difficult I will continue to perfect my craft, share my gift and to spread my message.
